I'll say this is a big technology leap from a typical smartphone today.
The display took almost the whole front surface of the Mi MIX with the earpiece and camera redesigned; Mi MIX redesigned the front camera to be 50% smaller than the typical ones, the company re-engineered a 17:9 display ratio with rounded corners for full context viewing experience. The outlook design is made with ceramic, not just a ceramic, a micro crystalline zirconia ceramic which has a hardness quality similar to sapphire. (8.5 hardness on MoHs scale and 1500° high temperature calcination).

Mi MIX used a cantilever piezoelectric ceramics acoustic technology, are you wondering what all of this is 😏? Here you go, when you pick up a call or make a call, the ceramic drive unit converts the electric signals into mechanical energy. This mechanical energy gets to create micro seismic waves, causing resonance in the phone metal from which also gets converted into sound waves that will be delivered straight to the ear , and surprisingly, you can still crisp calls even in a noisy environment. Th front camera is not too good buy manageable, it has 5.0mp selfie camera and it comes with some standard features to make it okay like the Beautify package that comes with 36 smart beauty profiles.
