Elephone smartphones are appealing to customers who are too restricted on budget to get Apple’s iPhone X, or Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8. The Chinese manufacturer launched an affordable, bezel-less device that not only looks stylish but also works smoothly. The last smartphone that the company released was the Elephone S8. It became eligible for pre-orders last month, and it will soon start shipping.
However, the phone maker didn’t stop at its entry-level S8. The company is preparing to reveal its next flagship model, allegedly called the Elephone S9. The smartphone is likely to have an AMOLED screen with curved edges and an 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is also expected to feature a near-bezel-less design, which is not a surprise since this is the year that features the death of the bezels. Spec-wise, the S9 will boast Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 SoC, which is on the higher end of the range. It is an octa-core chip built on a 14nm process and boasts clock speeds of up to 2.2GHz.
