Apple has finally surprised users with an infinity display screen smartphone (iPhone X), coming into the market is the most expensive Apple smartphone with a new design layout which can now be compared to the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.

NB: - Am only discussing the basic specs that make them and am not condemning any of the devices, both devices are great in their class.
The iPhone X has an all-glass design layout which makes it more unique and elegant than the previous flagships excluding the iPhone 8 and 8 plus. Both devices have a good and nice design which makes them perfect for holding.







DISPLAY


The Samsung Note 8 is quite larger in size than the iPhone X, sporting a 6.3” inch full HD+ display which can be further changed to a QUAD HD+ (WQHD+) in the settings, while the iPhone X sports a Super Retina HD display of 5.8” inch (diagonal) all-screen OLED Multi-Touch display with HDR display. The Samsung galaxy note 8 has a resolution of 1440*2960 (pixels) and the screen is being protected by a strong Gorilla glass 5 with asymmetric curves and 18.1:9 body to screen ratio which comes with together for a narrow body design, Samsung galaxy note 8 offers a 14% wider viewing area that makes for a richer, more vivid and immersive experience plus It supports a multi-touch. & nbsp; It is 6.3” when measured diagonally in full rectangle and 6.2” with accounting for the rounded corners of the Galaxy Note 8.

While the iPhone X has a resolution of 2436*1125 pixel at 458 PPI with a contrast ratio (typical) of 1,000,000:1. Other display features are; True Tone display, Wide color display (P3), 3D Touch, 625 cd/m2 max brightness (typical), Fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating, Support for display of multiple languages and characters simultaneously. When measured as a standard rectangular shape, the screen is 5.85 inches diagonally ( the actual viewable area is less).

CAMERA


iPhone X features a dual 12MP wide angle and telephoto lens with a wide-angle ƒ/1.8 aperture & telephoto ƒ/2.4 aperture, while the Samsung galaxy note 8 also features a dual pixel sensor rear camera of 12MP telephoto lens and with a wide angle f/2.4 aperture and the other camera of f/1.7 bright lens and a large 1.4um pixels. Both devices have an optical zoom and a live autofocus technology with an OIS.

FRONT CAMERA


The iPhone X sports a 7MP camera with 1080p HD video recording, Retina Flash and a wide angle of ƒ/2.2 aperture. While Samsung galaxy note 8 is equipped with an 8MP selfie camera with a bright lens and a smart auto-focus. It bright lens keep users photo details clear even in low light area/environment while the smart auto-focus tracks the face in the shots. It has other features also like the iPhone X.





STORAGE


iPhone X comes in 64GB and 256GB storage options, with Apple ditching the 32GB starter model for the 2017 handsets. The company doesn't reveal the RAM capacity, though it is thought the iPhone X has 3GB of RAM, while the Samsung galaxy note 8 is packed with a large 6GB RAM. Heavy loaded games or apps are quite light or weightless on the device because it is equipped with a VULKAN API. VULKAN API makes or enhances fast connections between computing and graphics. While Samsung galaxy note 8 is running on an Exynos 8895 Octa – EMEA and a Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835, with an Octa-core (4x2.3 GHz & 4x1.7 GHz) – EMEA/Octa-core (4x2.35 GHz Kryo & 4x1.9 GHz Kryo) CPU, and a Mali-G71 MP20 – EMEA/Adreno 540 GPU.
